Drop-In: is a one-time unscheduled day added to your child’s scheduled days. For example, if your child regularly attends school Monday-Wednesday but this Friday you would like them to attend, that is a drop-in. A drop-in day should be paid for upon request.

A drop-in day cannot be used in exchange for one of your child’s scheduled days; it is an addition to what your child is already scheduled for.

If your child’s scheduled days fall on a holiday or a day your child cannot attend, we can no longer exchange that day for another.

Schedule changes: Apart from a drop-in, we require at least two weeks’ notice of any changes being made to your child’s regular schedule. A schedule exchange form will be emailed to you upon request.

Vacation: One week’s vacation is given per year, after six months of enrollment in the program. For example, if your child is scheduled for three days weekly, after six months you have the option of breaking for three days without paying tuition for those three days. Vacation can be taken from January 1st through December 31st but cannot be carried over to the next year.

Dear BED Families,

Many parents have been inquiring about their financial responsibility if they choose to keep their child home, or we are forced to close during this current crisis. As many of you are aware, B.E.D. is a Private Business operating solely on tuition. As we keep our school open, we will continue to assess the situation and make decisions based on the current need for childcare and overall attendance.

Understanding that these are pressing times, B.E.D is trying our best to be fair to our families while protecting our staff and our business at large. Due to a State of Emergency, we as a team, feel that it is important for our families to feel like they have an option in the midst of a crisis. As mentioned in previously released statements, our doors are open and will remain open until further notice. We are committed to providing care and security to our community.

IF WE ARE OPEN:

ATTENDING: Payments are due as normal.

CLOSURES, TEMPORARY WITHDRAWAL AND QUARANTINE DUE TO COVID-19: Parents can make the decision to pull their child or children from the program temporarily out of safety concerns with 24 hour notice. - If you decide to temporarily withdraw your child there will be a charge of 50% of the child's tuition on a weekly basis. This will ensure that your child’s spot remains available when this situation clears up. - If a hold is not placed on your child’s spot, you will forfeit the child’s enrollment .You will then be required to go through the registration process again.

-If we close or you are asked to quarantine , due to a positive Covid-19 case within our school community, you will be responsible for 50% of the tuition for that time.

IF WE ARE MANDATED TO CLOSE: (i.e. state/national mandated closing, decline in attendance/enrollment) Our Families may be required to pay a $50.00 weekly holding fee, per family, in order to ensure we are able to operate once we resume our regular program. We are willing to discuss case by case privately via phone call or e-mail if you have concerns.

We know that all of you have been extremely supportive and patient throughout this difficult time. We will continue to work together to make it through.

Thank you. Sincerely, Your Discoveries Team
